We spent our first day in Oregon hiking Misery Ridge at Smith Rock state park. It was a 4 mile hike up a mountain that has a 1000ft elevation gain. Yikes! It was tough, but soo worth it once we got to the top. It was breathtaking. We saw lots of lizards and snakes, as well as an unknown animal carcass. We ate such a yummy lunch up top, and ended the day with a relaxed hike down. So fun.
